How an engagement works.

1. The engagement

These terms apply to advisory services provided by Levelhead Capital Pty Ltd trading as Levelhead Business Advisors (ABN 15 703 134 918). An engagement starts when we confirm the scope and fee in writing and you accept it.

The scope sets out the service or pack, the fee, the expected turnaround and the information we need from you.

2. Fees and payment

• Fixed fees are as published on our business services page or as quoted in writing.
• Unless your engagement letter says otherwise, 50% is payable on engagement and 50% on delivery.
• Fees are not contingent on finance approval, settlement or the conclusion we reach.
• Levelhead Partner retainers are billed monthly at the fee in your engagement letter.
• Work outside the agreed scope is only done with your prior written approval, at a rate we confirm first.
• All fees exclude GST.

3. Information you provide

Fixed fees assume our standard information request is met. Turnarounds run from when we receive it. If records are materially incomplete, we will tell you what is missing and how it affects the work before spending more time on it. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us.

4. Basis of work

Our work relies on information supplied by you, your advisers and any vendor, and is not an audit or a review providing assurance. Projections are estimates on stated assumptions. We do not provide tax, legal, audit or financial product advice; see our disclosures.

5. Reliance and confidentiality

Our documents are prepared for you and the lender or other party named in the engagement. Others may not rely on them without our written consent.

We treat your information as confidential and handle it as set out in our privacy policy.

6. Arranging finance

Where you ask us to arrange finance, credit assistance is provided by Nicholas Clunes (Credit Representative 530711) through The Lending Lab Pty Ltd (Credit Representative 538291), authorised under Australian Credit Licence 387856, under separate documents including a credit guide. Lender commission, if any, is disclosed in writing before you proceed. You may use our documents with any lender or broker.

7. Ending an engagement

Either of us may end an engagement by written notice. Work completed to that date is charged pro rata against the fixed fee, and any unused amount you have paid is refunded. Levelhead Partner ends at the end of the notice period in your engagement letter.
