Who we are

This policy covers personal information handled by Levelhead Capital Pty Ltd (ABN 15 703 134 918) trading as Levelhead Business Advisors, of Level 3, 116 Military Road, Neutral Bay NSW 2089. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Where we arrange finance, The Lending Lab Pty Ltd and its licensee also handle your information under their own privacy policies, which we will give you before any credit assistance.

What we collect

• Contact details: name, email, phone and business details, when you book a call, email or phone us.
• Financial information for an engagement: financial statements, tax returns, management accounts, BAS, bank statements, loan and lease details, and asset and liability information.
• Identification and personal details a lender requires for a credit application, such as date of birth, address history and identity documents.
• Information about other people connected to the matter, such as directors, guarantors, shareholders, a vendor or a business you are buying. Please let them know you are sharing it with us.
• Basic technical information our hosting provider records when you visit, such as IP address, browser and pages requested. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, scope and quote work, prepare forecasts, plans and credit papers, arrange finance, manage the relationship after settlement, and meet our legal obligations. If you don’t provide information a lender needs, we may not be able to arrange the finance you want.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we don’t add you to a marketing list unless you ask.

Who we share it with

• Lenders and their credit teams, valuers and lenders’ mortgage insurers, when you ask us to arrange finance.
• The Lending Lab Pty Ltd and its credit licensee, which provide the credit authorisation and the systems used to lodge applications.
• Your accountant, solicitor or other advisers, with your consent.
• Service providers who run our business for us, such as website hosting (Vercel), call booking (Calendly), email and secure document storage. Some of these may store information overseas, including in the United States.
• Anyone else where you agree or the law requires it.

We don’t access credit reports ourselves. A lender may obtain one when assessing an application, under its own credit reporting policy.

Storage, security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including access controls on the systems we use. Records about credit assistance are generally kept for at least seven years because the law requires it. Other information is kept only as long as we need it, then securely destroyed or de-identified. Please don’t email tax file numbers or passwords.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete information we are not required to keep, by emailing nick@levelheadadvisory.com.au. We may ask you to confirm your identity. There is no charge, and we respond within 30 days.
